Hay Scotty, I drive a Skoda Fabia 2002 with a manual transmission ( basically a VW polo but made in the Czech Republic). Yesterday as I was driving and had the heater on a strange sound appeared, it’s like a vibrating nocking sound. My car is at 250 000 thousand kilometres or about 160 000 miles. And this is not the only problem with the car for some reason while the ac is on sometimes as it is blowing cold the heater turns on, I have red that this is a common problem with my car but the dealer said they want more than a 1000 dollars ( which is about as much as my car costs here). Is there any way to fix some of the issues myself.
Well realize those stupid folks wagon products have one of the most complex heating air conditioning systems out there that's all computer controlled. But if you have imagination and like rigging things often if you can get inside the dash you can take off the electronic controls and turn the heat or AC blend doors manually to make it go only heater only AC.
