Obese person mess up car?

I have a 2018 Mazda 3s and there's someone we have a 400-500lb person to take to work and back with us. I really need to trade my car in in about 8 months. Should I be worried about carrying this heavy of a person every single day? I just really need the best value out of my car that I can get and I'm worried about the brake and suspension. Am I overreacting?

You could always buy one of these...

What is the maximum payload (weight of cargo and passengers) of that vehicle?  It should be listed on the Tire and Load Information (on driver’s door frame):  then add your weight, that person’s weight, and other cargo together and compare with the maximum payload number.

The thing I worry about is if they can fit in the seat (it will be very snug) and still be able to put seat belt through them - maybe have them sit in the back - as well as if they would wear out the seat.

yes, he should check the sticker inside the door, my corolla lists 800 pounds max, might get loose in the corners

i loaded a corolla once and toured the US, back end would sway, strong winds made it worse

Your car has a GVWR of 3,840 to 3,990 lbs and it weighs 2,809 to 2,952 lbs. You can have about 1000 lbs to carry in the car.
