scotty
I have a question for you sir
I just bought a 2019 AMG GLC 43
it has 3800 km on it I asked the service manager at Mercedes when can I bring it in for it's first oil change he told me that they change the oil once a year !
is this true??
I can't rap my mind around this
It's not a bad idea to change it AT LEAST once a year
I think some Mercedes hold a lot more oil than other cars.
But, there should be a mileage limit in the owner's manual.
Your car's manual should give you the proper drain interval. A quick online search turned up a Firestone website that gave what was supposed to be Mercedes' recommended service. It listed an oil change every 10,000 miles. Don't take my word for it, check it out yourself, preferably from your manual.
These days most manufacturers are recommending something like 7500 to 10000 miles as drain intervals with the caveat of at least once a year regardless of mileage.
