Oil Change Interval

I have a 2002 Toyota Sequoia with 240k miles.  I drive it less than 2000 miles per year.  Can I change the oil using a high mileage synthetic every TWO years, or should I really stick to every year?

I would stick to once a year if not more often, sitting oil kinda doesn't work well, even if driven less than 2k miles. It's actually more deterioration of you do cold starts with no lubrication on anything cause the oil just seeps down into the pan and sits there for however long until you drive the car. Then again it is toyota lol you'll be fineee 😂

Dont do that. At least do it every year.

Always change the oil at least once a year. No matter what oil you use.

Thanks for all the answers.  I think I'll change it, and in a year I'll do an oil analysis and see what shape the oil is in.

oil analysis costs more than an oil change

I'll be doing the oil changes myself as I really don't trust anyone else to do it right, and also use my preferred oil. I don't really care about the cost as much as my time.

well by the time to take an oil sample, package it, drive it to the post office, wait for it to arrive.... you would have done 10 oil changes.
