Hey Scotty I watched many of your videos and have heard of the many automotive brands you’ve talked about but I don’t think you ever talked about Oldsmobile. I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada AWD with 162k miles. Could you make a video of Oldsmobiles and it’s rise and fall? I’d like to know if Oldsmobile is a good reliable car.
Well Oldsmobile is part of General Motors. "During its time as a division of General Motors, Oldsmobile slotted into the middle of GM's five divisions (above Chevrolet, and Pontiac, but below Buick, and Cadillac), and was noted for its groundbreaking technology and designs."
So it was a premium approaching luxury division of GM and Scotty talks about GM a ton... They are ok not the best but better made then than now. If you have one and you don't have problems then good luck with your ownership take care of it!
Oldsmobile is gone Ford did the same thing where Mercury was between Ford and Lincoln Americans don't like premium brands Toyota did a youth brand called Scion and that failed as well. Look, now we have no more Mercury, Oldsmobile, or Scion. Goes to show the American market.
It’s so far a reliable car with same engine and transmission. Only thing that needs replacement is the front shocks. I bought it for 3k and it was missing a front end drive shaft but luckily the auction was nice enough to give me the part for free so now it’s a good.
