My wife has a 2018 Mazda Cx 5 with 16,000 miles. The tires are the original Toyo 225/55r/19. She hit a curb and the sidewall has a tear. This is the right front. Cannot see any of the belt but can pull back a bit of rubber. No air loss at all.
should I replace it and if so do I need to get two up front ? I have even heard I should get four due to the AWD

I would replace it.Replacing the front two will be fine.

Why wait until you lose all air going down the highway? Replace the two front ones now. Keep the good one for a spare.
