RDX buzzing noise

Hello, I have a 2015 Acura RDX with 102,000 Miles on it. It has been meticulously maintained. I have done transmission fluid changes about every 10,000 miles with OEM fluid. All of the sudden I’ve noticed a buzzing noise when first driving the car. The buzzing happens at around 20 miles an hour for just a few seconds and then goes away. This only happens when you first turn on the car and reach about 20 miles an hour. The noise sounds like it’s coming from the engine bay not exactly sure where. The transmission has always been a little quirky but is not shifting hard or presenting any other kind of issues. Wondering if it’s transmission related or if this could be something else and any ideas of where to start with the issue?

Is it AWD?  Is the buzz only for a couple seconds?

It is awd bUzzing maybe 2-4 seconds tops usually on the dot at around 20 mph

I'm just wondering because our HRV does the same about 35mph. Especially when turning.
The buzz is similar to what an electric actuator or solenoid makes.
May be best to call the dealer and ask if there are any software updates.

Let me know if you figure out what it is

There is a software update for the HRV. Haven't taken it in yet.
Have you changed the rear differential fluid lately?
Also, check for a low tire. That can trigger the AWD or Traction Control.
And if you have an Autozone nearby, they will scan your vehicle for free. See if there are any hidden codes.

Tires brand new and full of air. I have a good scan tool no hidden codes and I haven’t done rear diff lately but noise coming from front not rear unless that could effect it?

It's possible, but not likely.
Is there a switch to turn off traction control? At least that would rule out a problem there.
And of course, it could very well be something else altogether. Just bad harmonics on a heat shield.
If it makes the noise after letting off the gas it could be something with the VCM system as it switches off cylinders.
Frustrating that it doesn't happen in park where you can locate the noise.

It actually does continue to make the noise after letting off the gas! I’m just hoping it’s not tranmission

Interesting thread about active (electronic) motor mounts buzzing on Honda 3.5.

Can't find any video of the noise it makes though.
