I have a 4.0 jeep grand cherokee and i noticed the fluid was substantially overfilled so i got a fluid pump and pumped out as much as i could and it just started pumping air but its still overfilled about a inch and a half over and i did check it while the engine was on and in park im kinda stuck on what to do thanks yall

Was the fluid hot when you used the pump?

you should probably take it to a shop. They can do it quickly with a machine so it won't cost much, if anything.
