Hi,

I have a 2012 ford fusion 2.5L. 92000km on it. It is overheating without any engine light. Already talk to mechanic and he said I can’t do anything until any warning light comes on. Any suggestions please.
thanks

You need to find a better mechanic. (Doesn't that car have a temperature gauge?)

It has a temp gauge, but when i took it to mechanic it was working fine and he said bring it back when any engine light comes on. Then i was heading home and again temp gauge almost went to red.

It's ludicrous that a mechanic would refuse to diagnose an overheating condition unless the check engine light is on. Makes no sense at all. Like I said you need to find a better mechanic. If your car keeps overheating your engine could be damaged if that has not happened already.

If you are at all mechanically inclined there are tips on diagnosing an overheating condition in the site FAQ.

I had no choice but to go to that mechanic as today is Sunday. I will go to another one , but what can be the possible issue ?. Also i can hear some weard fan noise even though when i turn off the engine and it stays for 4-5 seconds. I never heard that before.
Thanks

The possible issue can be many different things, it requires proper diagnosis to find the cause.
