2017  Chevy Silverado 2500HD, 91033 miles. ZERO engine mods, original owner, second set of Michelin tires… tow a 9500# Airstream as primary use.

We arrived Monday after a 300 mile RV trip, parked, no problem.  Went to doctor next morning, no CEL. Ran quick trip 1 miles, under 40mph with one key cycle off when I went into donut shop.arrived home, no problem.  Truck sat about 2 hours, started up again… CEL illuminated!!! At home, BlueDriver showed P227p and d. The codes are “permanent”. I replaced air filter, cleaned the MAP and MAF sensors and filter (old a year old with 10000miles… but dusty… cEL cleared but still has the permanent codes.  On a side note, after dealer replaced defective glow plug 7 I was told “it will go off”.. that was 20k miles and dealer tried updating…still won’t reset…

otherwise truck starts, tow’s and does all we need I have ideas but asking what

you think!!

Looks like fixed!

replaced the MAF sensor

used BlueDriver monitor “Mass Air Flow Rate”.. before and it was slow/ not changing much.

with NEW sensor, rates are changing with throttle, load, speed… old MAF (original.. 91k miles, 7 years) was definitely causing issues.

Yeah, air intake sensor issue.

Sometimes they're shot and cleaning them won't work

The error shows Barometric Pressure Sensor “C” Circuit Range/Performance… the other says “Circuit high”.

so, does the MAF read the current barometric pressure BEFORE start… and afterwards then compares next run cycle?

By time this is read again, the NEW GN Genuine Part #23324767 made in Japan will be installed.

@l5pme Great, thanks for letting us know!

It is fixed.. except for the “permanent code”.. maybe it will reset after a few warmup’s
