I have a 99’ 4Runner with a physical key with an immobilizer chip, and I took it into the lake the other day with a swimming suit that had zipping pockets. I forgot it was in there; and when I got out it still worked? Are these old style keys with immobilizer chips waterproof or no?

well if it still works then I guess it has some water resistance. Not sure I would test it further or go scuba diving with it though.
