Amazon item:

The Facebook post shows the "modified or changed" notice. The Amazon link works as it should.
vote for #3 please
Firefox:

Chrome:

Either way, Facebook link doesn't work. Amazon link does.
please use an image host for screenshots on this forum
neither worked, i use Brave
Brave blocks imbedded links, I believe. It's like Firefox Focus.
Amazon links just show a photo of the item. It's something I've observed here from the beginning, posting a link to an item on Amazon is changed to a link to its photo. (I never follow Facebook links so have not checked those.)
Hi Chuck. You are supposed to see an image of the Amazon product. That works as it should. I'm asking people what happens when you CLICK on that image. You are supposed to be taken to the Amazon website listing for that item. If you are not, it would be helpful if you post your country.
You don't have to follow the Facebook link. It's enough for me to know what you SEE there in its place.
Thank you.
OK, I misunderstood. Amazon links are presented here differently than on other sites I'm familiar with.
What happens when I click on your test link/image for Amazon is it takes me to a page that says "Kindle" in largish orange type, and on the next line in smaller black type "We're sorry. This preview is unavailable."
This is in the U.S., tested using Firefox, Chromium, and Chrome running both on Linux Windows systems. Same result with or without privacy-enhancing extensions enabled.
lovely. if you would vote in the poll at the top of the page that would be great.
Done. Although I never go anywhere near Facebook that link is completely blank so I can truthfully vote that neither type of link is working from here. (Oops, just rememberd that I actually have all known Facebook domains and ip addresses blocked in my router so I can't really tell about the Facebook link for sure, but there was no voting category for Amazon alone.)
MountainManJoe On my Ipad, using Chrome and Safari I voted #3. On my laptop using Edge I didn’t vote but it’s #4. Hope that helps.
well that's a first for the facebook link. Thanks for the feedback.
iPhone 6s using Safari. Number three, and I voted.
In america with google chrome as a browser and i voted #1, Neither one worked for me.
United States, Windows 10 computer, Microsoft Edge browser, neither worked.
Viewing the forum on Samsung Internet Explorer on a Galaxy S7 phone, the Amazon link works but the FB says item was deleted from marketplace.
Just thought you may want to know what it looks like for mobile users. I did vote in the poll as well.
Thanks @mountainmanjoe for taking the time to test this.
that's about all I can do. If you guys want this fixed you need bug Scotty about it. It's out of my hands now.
Understood. It's not a big deal to me honestly.
Neither link works for me. (Google Chrome)
Neither link works for me on my Windows laptop using Chrome or Opera, with or without an adblocker. Also in the US.
Facebook marketplace says (whatever it says).
Amazon click on image says link is broken.
if you have the data you need, please update post to say closed.
FaceBook = This Facebook post is no longer available. It may have been removed or the privacy settings of the post may have changed.
Amazon = Kindle, sorry this preview is unavailable.
England
please vote #1
The facebook link doesn't show at all - I get a tabbed page icon that has a frowny face.
The amazon link displays a photo but when I click on the preview, I get the Kindle sorry message.
I'm using the Brave browser and am currently checking out the website from MO, USA
