I have a 2003 G35. I have heard that adding a plenum spacer can help with performance. Is this true? Some people show dyno sheets that seem to indicate it is especially for the early model G35's like mine.
What are the pros and cons of adding one. It seems like a good idea considering it is a cheap addition. I just don't want to decrease reliability or increase wear significantly on the engine.
Any info on them would be good. I know virtually nothing about what they do exactly
They are snake oil and a waste of time.
The THEORY is that they cause air coming into the intake manifold to swirl, thus be injected quicker and make more power. It doesn't. Some make a cool "swish" sound, but they do nothing for performance.
If you really want a boost, get a larger throttle body, an intake, and a tune. I PROMISE you will be happier. Save your money.
