You don't listen well.

A 40 yr old car will never be reliable.

Same answer every other dinosaur you are going to resurrect.

ok, i thought the Toyota Corolla Might have ben an exception sense there built so well

here you go. The only car that can defy time. And it's got that 80s look.

true sense there starting to make new ones again

It's an old Pontiac, and built as such. Reliability would be one of the last things I would give it high marks for.

And the MR2? Yeah, price out maintenance on that car. If you want any kind of relatively trouble-free driving experience, you HAVE to get out of the 80's. Literally everything was built with duct tape, hopes, and dreams.

Maybe a good project/toy car.

how's the reliability on those things?

You can't rely on a 30+ years old car, regardless of who made it.

not even a 30 year old Toyota Corolla?

Ture. Not even Corolla, not even Celica.

wow that sucks, half the cars i love are 80's cars

Well, there's a lot of difference between the reliability expectations for a weekend toy car that you drive maybe a thousand miles a year, and a daily driver that you depend on to get to work/school/etc. every day. I have friends and neighbors who have 50's and 60's cars that they enjoy regularly - but they're not driving them to work every day, or taking them on multi-day trips on vacation.

I recently had a 91 Toyota MR2 as a fun/weekend car, and enjoyed it - only problem I had with it was the clutch was worn out when I bought it. Scotty has been saying some good things about 300Z's in a couple recent videos, perhaps that would be a better choice.

good because i love the Toyota MR2
