Hello,
I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia SR5 RWD (that I decided to keep due to it not needing a catalytic converter)
Ever since I replaced the struts and shocks (and motor mounts) all around the vehicle, it’s been making these horrible popping sounds. It seems to be performing well, given the excessive noise the suspension tends to make. I put Bilstein 5100 Series all around. I have checked all of the suspension parts, including the new shocks and struts to see if anything was wrong, loose, or if I had just put the struts on wrong, but nothing is out of the ordinary down there. Do I just need to buy different shocks?
Here is a video of the sounds that have been driving me crazy for the past few months:
Thanks!
Well since the noise came with the shock installation you need the shocks are bad or pushing somewhere are worn and Megan that noise. You might want to try my video finding the source of car noises Scotty
I’ll definitely try that. Thank you so much!
