Hello, I have a 2006 Cadillac STS V6 with 120k milage. I recently went to turn and the power steering went out. When I looked under the hood what looked like part of the hose had came out from the pump and let the fluid out. Can I tighten the part back in or does the pump/hose need to be replaced. I do have a picture of the exact part also just not sure if I can upload to this forum?
If it is a threaded fitting, see if you can tighten it back up. If it's retained by a clamp, reattach and tighten the clamp. Then refill the reservoir and bleed air from the system. If the hose is compromised, it needs to be replaced with new.
