Hi, i'm from Chile, i was looking at a used subaru outback, 2009 1.8 lt with a manual transmission with over 100k mile (its has almost 160 k km), i really like the looks of the car, but i also know the used to have headgaskets problems.
I would love if someone could help me know if it would be a good first car and what problems they have

Yes, 2000s Subarus are prone to head gasket problems. However most of us here would not know what alternatives are available in your market. (In the U.S. Toyota and Honda would be the most recommended, though models with known problems are to be avoided.)
