Scotty,
I'm in the market for a new pickup. I'm leaning towards a new 2021 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 liter v8 engine. There is the option for adding E-Torque mild hybrid to it, should this be a good option or stick with just the standard 5.7 without E torque. I typically keep cars a long time. My current pickup is a 2000 Nissan Frontier with 120,000 miles on it.

If you're used to getting a lot of miles out of a vehicle don't buy a Ram. But, if you are set on it, I would say don't get the e-torque. FCA (fiat Chrysler, the ones who make these things) do not have good engineers and I can almost guarantee you something will go wrong with it. Their cars don't last, let alone their new hybrid battery packs/motors.
