Random Misfire over 4k RPM (2014 V6 Mustang)

Hello, when I accelerate my 2014 3.7l V6 Mustang, Auto, over 4k RPM and hold the RPMs over 4k for approximatly 5-10 seconds, my CEL will flash and i will lose acceleration power. Pressing the accelerator will cause the car to shake violently, so I assume that I am experiancing a random misfire. After about 20 seconds the engine will return to normal, I regain power, and the CEL shuts off. No codes are stored. Any idea where to check first?

Thanks, Jacob

I would also try and have someone check fuel pressure running if you can’t. Did to the higher rpm it sounds like a fuel pump getting weak and dropping pressure off at higher rpm which will also cause a misfire

You are correct..any flashing CEL represents Ranmon missfire where a P0300 and cylinder location. eg: P0301   (cyl 1) as an example is stored in the ECM. I would get the vehicle scanned at a Autozone near you or available parts house which has such services to find out what codes are those.  The fault could be anything in the ignition as well as faulty injector(s) but the usualy suspects are ignition spark plugs.  Scan and see is the first objective.

Unfortuntly nothing is store in the ECU. Whenever I get nothing. As soon as the flashing is gone, the car is completly back to normal again.

Lets get some facts clear here...Now your driving your car on the road and then you rev up and speed up to 4K then the missfire appears correct. ?

I want to differentiate when you do this while stationary the built in REV limiter kicks in to prevent engine damage.

This is correct. I dont even get near 6-7k RPMS before it starts.
