If you pull on the rear wheel at the 3&9 position there is a clunk clunk. On the 12&6 pull, nothing. Jack the car up and pull on the 3&9, nothing, lower it and pull, nothing. Drive around the block, hear the clunk, park and again while on the ground 3&9 push and pull, clunk clunk. What is it? Thanks

Well when it comes finally the noise is coming from since it's not doing it at 6:00 and 12:00. It's not a wheel bearing a wheel bearing would do it all the way around so check to see if a torsion bar or something has gotten loose that makes it clunk

Will do, thanks Scotty

Ok, same thing, clunk clunk with weight on the car, could not reproduce the movement or sound while jacked up. I had to get a friend to move the tire back and forth while crawling under the car and it’s the “rear lower control arm bushing” there are two bars on each side and appears you need to change the whole bar, they don’t sell just the bushings.
Thank you for your attention Scotty, you’re the best!
You really need to start your own mechanic school and give out special certificates to the graduates, stating that I so and so am a good and honest mechanic like Scotty! You’d be the president of the Scotty school of mechanics!
