[Solved] Recently purchased 2003 Honda Accord (Euro), should I change the automatic trans fluid?

Hey folks,

My brother has just bought a 2003 Honda Accord (Euro version, equivalent to the US Acura TSX) 2L 4cyl petrol engine with a 5 speed automatic transmission, with 84k miles on the clock. It has very good service history but in the service book it's blank under the ATF change section so I'm unsure if it has ever been changed, would it be risky to change it now given the age and mileage? Still shifts perfectly as far as I can tell (being in the UK I'm not used to autos haha, but it doesn't slip and shifts very smoothly). I have read the FAQs but was hoping for some personal input for the specific circumstances (mainly with the age, as the manual states to change it the first time after 75k miles or 8 years, then every 50k or 4 years after that). I haven't had a chance to pull the dipstick yet to check the colour and smell of it. Also if I do change it I assume it has a screen instead of filter like most Japanese cars so it would just be a case of drain and fill? (With the proper Honda fluid of course)

Many thanks in advance for any input and help.

Matt
