Recently purchased 2008 Ford F-150 FX4 V8 Triton it's only getting 10 mpg. I would appreciate any tips on how to make it last.. run better or even improve mpg. Yes it's lifted with 20 inch tires so I may be asking too much on the fuel mileage. I watch your videos every single day and so much look forward to them and appreciate all your knowledge and helpful tips. Thank you Scotty.

20 inch tires

I'm sure you mean wheels. 20" tires are tiny.

you really are. trucks have the aerodynamics of the side of barn, plus you've lifted it higher into the air stream. Plus the bigger tires have taken your engine out of power band (not to mention changed shift points etc.). Plus V8 , plus 4x4. Plus 17 years old (you didn't provide odometer per instructions). Fuel economy should be the absolute last thing on your mind because you have pretty close to the worst gas guzzler you can get your hands on.

You can't expect good gas mileage with that setup. See the FAQ section on improving fuel economy. You might also want to perform a diagnostic scan for codes and live data to check for issues.
