[Solved] Regular oil or synthetic?

My 2007 Honda Accord V6 automatic has 123,000 miles on it and I'm still getting "regular" oil changes. When, if ever, should I switch to the more expensive synthetic oil? I live in Memphis, TN if that matters. TIA!

If you’ve been using conventional oil and that’s what the owner’s manual recommends, I would recommend just sticking with it. You can get high mileage conventional oil which has some extra anti-wear additives so you can certainly use that. Change the oil every 4K-5K miles with conventional and that engine should keep humming along!

The sooner the better. Every engine, new to old, will benefit from the properties of synthetic oil.

It's worth switching from conventional to synthetic.

Should be going off whatever that manual in the glove compartment says to use. Those are the Bible’s of our vehicles and should be reading and looking over them for any questions regarding what fluids to use and when they need changed out.
