As stated above, I have a 2011 Scion xB that I would like to change the transmission fluid in. It's got about 125000 miles on it, it's last transmission fluid change(it was a full flush) was done at 60000 miles by the previous owner. I'm pretty sure the transmission isn't slipping at the moment(I wouldn't really know how that feels), so my question is can I change my transmission fluid or will it cause it to start slipping?
Just for reference, it was owned in Nevada and I bought it here in CA.
Thanks ahead of time
You can change the fluid if you want to but change it at your own risk. I changed the fluid and filter in my car and it works fine. If you do change your fluid, be careful while driving. There is no exact result after changing the transmission fluid in your car.

You would know it if the transmission was slipping, it feels like you let off the gas, it revs funny, then finally goes in gear and you got power. It may even whack hard into gear, either way you will know something funny is up. Sounds like your car was taken care of by the previous owner by changing the fluid at 60k. As Scotty said, you change the fluid at your own risk, but I have never had any issues, only improved shifting after changing trans fluid. I would suggest at least a drain and fill, but not a power flush.
