Resistance felt in stick when shifting manual transmission

2010 Honda Fit Sport 5-speed Manual 100,000 Miles. I recently bought the car.

Sometimes when shifting (intermittently, and not all the time) there is a point where the shift stick feels like it hit something and there is a slight increase in resistance that I feel when pushing it into gear. And then after pushing it past that point, it goes into gear normally.

There is no noise or any other symptoms. It happens when the clutch is all the way down. And when in neutral the stick is loose and wobbles side to side by about half a centimeter.

Probably either the clutch is not releasing fully or synchronizers are shot.
