I have a 2004 Toyota sequoia 4.7 miles are 239,00 that has a rough idle no check engine lights I did change the spark plugs improperly gauge them what about idol it is very rough.
my other question is why does the transmission shift so high between 2500 to 3000 RPMs

Depending on engine running conditions and throttle application shift patterns can be high. I would verify proper plugs and gap of plugs. Otherwise sounds like you possibly left a vacuum line off or an intake leak somewhere
