Hey Scotty! ( or anyone else who can answer )
I have a 07 Ford Escape with 209k miles, over the past year its had some issues. Currently I've had a rough idle but the idling rpm is normal, engine mounts are fine, IAC and EGR valve are fine, replaced all sparkplugs and ignition coils, replaced alternator, no vacuum leaks, even new hoses on some, clean air filter; Used 3 different scan tools and not a single code. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fuel pump or filter but I wanted some advice before replacing another part.(at this rate I may just replace the car!)
some issues are: loud vibration in cabin while idle in gear, especially in R, lack of acceleration, and horrible gas mileage and had an instance where it was sounding like I was going to stall out.

FIRST, clean your sensors. second, clean your oxygen sensors, third , you must have removed all the OLD FLUID OUT before you put the NEW FLUID IN. i strongly reccomend that you drain the oil OVERNIGHT for both the transmissiona and engine, you will be suprised of the dirt that comes out at the END. REPLACE all your filters, YOU SHOULDNT HAVE anymore vibration or shaking at all. you probbaly have a rough idle because your throttle body is a litte dirty, its always open even a few millimeters to suck air. Gas mileages is because you have a dirty fuel pump filter or dirty strainer, dirty fuel injector plugs, dirty sensors. The last issue that you have a seperate problem, you lack acceleration: this can be other things as simple as changing your fuel cap. if youre not able to get a code for this issue, then last thing to try is to remove your computer to reset it then see if you get a code, quick tip: clean your computer pins with an awesome electric spray cleaner its sure going to make everything running smoothly. its sure going to make things more easy if you can get a code. make sure youre battery still in good condition. and if you decided to get a fuel pump you need OEM as original from the dealer to run properly, just because you have driven the car alot it doesnt mean youre 100% sure it has an original fuel pump, if you have an aftermarket fuel pump chances are that has been messing up your computer. try to avoid ALL aftermarket parts, the computer will know if its original or aftermarket. the bad news is that recently there has been an increase in cheap gasoline, some gas stations put water to increase their profit and lower their costs. if you have water in your gasoline then change it for another gasoline and fill your gas tank to full. let us know youre results
Yes do try cleaning the sensors and everything making sure that the math sensor is clean the throttle is clean and not covered with carbon but if you know anything about reading data with the scan tool look at the math sensor data and when the math sensors go bad you'll often get horrible gas mileage and they will give bad data such as too high flow of air at idle your math sensor should be the same amount of grams per second as the engine size like if you have a 2.5 l engine it should be around 2.5 g per second of air going to the maf sensor you can test that easily with any scan tool
