Basically the car shakes only when it doesn't move and works fine at high speeds the shaking gets worse when the A/C is activated and gets quieter once put in neutral and park

You may have a weak alternator. Load test the alternator as well as the battery.

Also check the condition of your 25-year-old engine and transmission mounts.
