I have a 2000 Ford Focus with 230000 miles on it. It still runs great but it's throwing up this code P0302 which is mis fire in cylinder 2 which I changed all the spark plugs and the wires and is still throwing me the code. But it is only doing a little rough idol at 1st start of the day. But then after that after it's been running for a while in that day it runs fine? Like I said I changed all my spark plugs all my plug wires, I changed my throttle Position sensor and I have a new ignition coil but I haven't changed that yet and now I'm leaning towards the air idle control valve. What do you think it could be?
What do you think it could be?
Almost anything could be worn out at that age and mileage. Might even be bad compression in that cylinder. I'd start though by looking for vacuum leaks.
Does plug 2 spark?
I would concentrate on the items that seem to be bad, as cylinder 2/ignition.
