I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer ES with a CVT unfortunately. 135,000 mikes. Manaufacture states the car needs to warm up to the point where the temperature gauge actually shows a bar. Takes 5mins. While accelerating, i will have an rpm drop and then it catches back up. This will happen the first 3 or so accelerations. Sounds like a fuel pump. Any ideas? There are video on youtube of this happening to other drivers with no fixes noted..

Before you think it is the pump, have you checked the fuel filter? A lot of times they just get clogged up and you'll experience some symptoms like that. I'd start there before the pump as pumps are expensive in comparison.
Thank ya for the help. I will do that asap.
