Hey Scotty! I was wondering if Lexus’s have the same same quality as Toyota with Toyota owning them and all; I was also wondering the same about Honda and Acura. Do these brands all have the same quality?
All good vehicles but the luxury brands will cost more to service
Generally speaking they will be reliable and last a long time. But realize since they are luxury brands, the cost of maintenance and repairs will be higher (more bells and whistles and therefore things to break, plus “luxury tax” on parts and labor) than their non-luxury counterparts.
Lexus makes reliable vehicles just like Toyota, but realize with any Luxury brand, you are gonna be paying more for repairs and maintenance as they get high mileage and things start breaking.
Well, it depends.
the same way that the Toyota C-HR is having some CVT issues, and the Camry 8 speed is great - quality can differ a lot even within models sold under the same brand.
but generally speaking, Lexus models are as reliable as most Toyota models.
there are some exceptions, and Lexus tends to use less proven technology (a lot of new high compression ratio engines) but so far - most Lexus models seem to be great.
Last few yrs Lexus ranked higher in longevity than Toyota. I don’t think there’s much of a difference now. Honestly don’t know anyone who drives an Acura anymore. I have to drive almost 13 hrs just to get to an Acura dealership. But I think Hondas are better built than Acuras are.
