Scotty, I'm hunting for a used vehicle & ,unfortunately, my only option is to go through a dealer. So the only purchase that makes sense to me is Honda or Toyota (accord/civic/camry). Which year, make & model should i gravitate towards? I lack the financial stability to make the wrong decision & i do not trust internet reviews &/or ratings...$12k is my ceiling. Also, the Lexus Ct Hybrids have caught my eye & want to get your opinion of them. Lastly, which male has the better interior quality?
Like Joe said go to the FAQ section and there you can find lists and lists of cars to buy and cars not to buy and videos about it etc. there is plenty of info. For some reference, do your research on http://www.carcomplaints.com and imo Mazda and Acura have great interiors. Could you find a 2017 Camry in your price range? What about a 2016-2019 Corolla? I would look for cars like that.
I would definitely not buy a Lexus hybrid for 12K... But here's some advice for the Toyotas:
Avoid the 07-11 Camry, 09 Corolla, 07-09 Scion tC, and the 09 Matrix due to their excessive oil burning with the standard 2AZ-FE 4 bangers.
If 12K is your ceiling I would shop for a newer Civic, tC, or Camry, depending on what size vehicle you want. I really would recomend the Scion as it is a zippy little car that hasn't had the problems like the Civics in the 2015-17 era that you would likely be shopping in.
Yours is the more Frequently Aasked Question here. If you click on the 'FAQ' topic at the top, used cars is the first info link.
the best interiors are of course the Luxury brands. Lexus, Acura, Cadillac etc.
Strangely enough, I don’t think Honda or Toyota has the longest lasting interior. IMHO, that crown goes to BMW. Their seats seem bullet proof. The dash doesn’t seem to age. Their molding kinda sucks though. Mine was cracking.
My Honda with leather seats looks all torn up compared to the BMW I owned at the same age.
