Scotty, I have watched lots of your videos but don't think i have ever seen you use an oscilloscope like pico or something like it. Is their a reason for that? I have been thinking of getting a cheap one. Would that be a waist of money?

Depends on how much troubleshooting you do and also the vehicle. For most it’s overkill, especially if you have a fairly dependent vehicle and/or have a decent higher level scan tool that can give the live data on a graph. I’ve never needed to resort to an Oscope.
However, if you are a professional working at a shop, then it’s good to have a scope on hand.
Yes he has used them in his videos, and yes it's a complete waste of money. Especially cheap ones.
