I have a 2006 Ford Escape 3.0 with 150,000 miles(automatic). There’s is a P2270 code. I’ve tried replacing the 02 sensor. I tested the sensor with a multimeter and it’s fine. The car seems to flatten out randomly around 40mph. But it still run smooth as ever. I’ve sent it to a trusted mechanic several times. Do you have any clue what is wrong with the car? Thank you.
You can't actually test the oxygen sensor correctly you can do a few tests with the meter but that means nothing.when I test them I have to hook up a freeze frame oscilloscope run the vehicle under various conditions on a road test record the data then analyze the oscilloscope readings using my expensive monthly payment subscription to a company that has hundreds of thousands of waveforms to use for analysis.so if you think it's the oxygen sensor hack just go put another one on places like AutoZone have very liberal return policies if it doesn't work you could say it doesn't work in a generally will give you your money back
Thanks for your help 🙂
