Okay I have just got a used car. Engine does not heat up fast. Like the temperature gauge takes at least ten minutes for optimal temperature. Could it just be a thermostat issue? I’ve looked at all parts from out side and nothing looks bad. Coolant was low so I put more in it and it ate some more, so I filled it up again and hasn’t dropped since. Also my transmission temperature. Want to know what it should be at and how long for it to get to those levels for optimal performance. Thank you
2015 Chrysler 200c V6 FWD. 116000 miles.
It has 116000 miles on it. Is it to late to change transmission fluid?

Could be. It's inexpensive enough to just try out. But it depends on a lot of things .What's the car doing? Idling in park? Driving downhill? Uphill? Is it cold outside? Is he heat on? Automatic or manual?
My van can sometimes takes up to 15 minutes to warm up, but it also holds 15 quarts of coolant.
Also my transmission temperature....
automatic or manual? It should be pretty close to engine temperature, but how are you measuring it?

This is a different subject and you should post a new question for that . Also read the FAQ before you do.
Bought my car from a dealership. 2015 Chrysler 200c V6 FWD. 116000 miles. Haven’t checked for codes. But no check engine light. Drives like a beauty. Probably just worry to much. My wife has a Chrysler Pacifica and warm up on that is normal like any other car I have drove but mine takes time. I will replace the thermostat and see if that does the trick.
What car is it? Do you see any coolant leak? Any smoke from exhaust?
Is a Chrysler 200c 2015 model nope my best guess is the thermostat is stuck open. No smoke from what I see. And leaks not visible. Everything is clean. It’s a V6 so I’m probably going to change the thermostat and get a coolant change done
Hope it is just that. Was the car checked before buying?

Warm up varies when it’s warmer say 70 degrees outside it’s normal, but anything cooler outside it’s slow again anywhere from 5-10 minutes
