I know, what? Not even the same league but here are the details.
2008 Suburban with 256k (175m)
Or
2002 Sequoia with 320k (230m)
equal in price and both with fantastic upkeep records.
what would you choose?

Neither. Both are at the end of their economical lifetime, so they better be dirt cheap. At this point, the biggest factor is going to be their mechanical condition. There are going to be some big nasty hidden expenses waiting for you. All else being equal, the Sequioa stands the greatest chance of surviving of course.
