Scotty, I’m a big fan. My wife wants a new large family suv and doesn’t want anything smaller than a suburban or expedition max. I have been trying to convince her to get a sequoia or land cruiser but she doesn’t like how little room there is behind the third row when the seats are up.
she wants a suburban or expedition max. knowing your opinion on new gm products and the twin turbo v6’s that are the only option in the Ford Expedition, which one would you choose? I agree with your opinions on both by the way, consulting with a pro before I pick my poison. Thank you
If you have to choose between those, go with the Expedition. Have you considered lease at all? In that case, it does not matter as long as you plan to return the car after the lease is over.
Poison is right.
If I had the 50k to spend on a new suburban, knowing that new ones are pretty much crap, I'd go to Hemmings and find one from the early 90's and drop a new engine and tranny in it and motor on.
I would not buy them new unless I had money to throw away.
I'd get a good used 3rd gen Expedition EL 2009-2014 model years or a 10th gen Suburban/Yukon XL/3rd gen Esclade ESV.
If I ever get 'em new I'd get the Suburban and be very religious on oil and fluid changes. Preferably engine oil every 3k and tranny fluid annually/10k.
