My car was making a loud noise from under the hood. I thought it was my serpentine belt, so I replaced it. It turns out that my ac compressor is breaking off and slowly destroying my belt. I’m overseas and leaving soon and not planning on bringing the car but wanna make it last till I leave. So my question is can I get a smaller belt and skip over my ac compressor or should I just deal with the loud noise it makes for another 2 months. Thanks

Technically you can get a smaller belt to skip the AC compressor the problem is figuring out what the right belt is. The better option would be to try and get the AC compressor clutch to release and just avoid using the AC.
