Shift Solenoid Issue - 2015 VW Golf TSI 1.8 - Automatic

Well its been a bad weekend. My Golf started throwing up intermittent 'Transmission Error' messages last week. It would happen while driving and eventually stayed on long enough for me to run a VCDS scan. No real running issues with the car at this point, but a slight bump when shifting to reverse. Also, when I engage the "manual shift mode" (is this Tiptronic?) it never shows me first gear anymore...just straight to 2nd even when starting from a full stop or downshifting all the way. Otherwise it drives fine, no limp mode. The error is now permanently displayed by the MIL.

Long story short, I am trying to figure out what's happened and what to do. I bought this car "certified pre-owned" from the dealer. They claim to have checked all the fluids before selling to me. I purchased it at 47K...and the service interval for Transmission fluid is 50K. It now has 78K on the odometer. Would they sell me a car with dirty transmission fluid? Don't answer that - we all know they would. I guess I am wondering if anyone can help me further distill the issue based on the VCDS output.

Here's what I'm getting so far from VCDS:

Certified pre-owned junk that's Volkswagens for you you should have never bought it in the first place. Those transmissions are so complex the last time I had a customer have one rebuild it cost them $5,500. Good luck gllad it's not mine and I'm glad I'm not working on it

As much as I'm agonizing over this ordeal, your answer (while only somewhat helpful), is 100% correct. Its a failed shift solenoid electrical connection that somehow I am to blame for. VW quoted $2500 in parts alone to replace the entire Valve Body. LOL!
