[Solved] Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV LEMON Buyback with New Battery? $9,980

2017 Chevrolet Bolt EVPremier  $9,980*

*(Includes $4,000 Used EV Tax Credit in Advertised Price!)

Watsonville GMC Has 17 Bolt EV's that are Lemon Buy backs. I asked about a 2017 Bolt EV Premier and I was told it had a new battery installed in 2024. It has a 100k mile warranty on the battery.

Is this a good buy? The only reason they recalled and branded Lemon Law Title was due to the batteries, but they were replaced and now reselling.

Thank you for your opinions and insights!

Maybe. But you're taking a gamble that they fixed everything right. Realize you're actually paying $14k + fees, until that tax credit claim is actually approved. If you read the fine print in the ad, it says "you may be eligible" and "up to $4,000" and "you can't get back more on the credit than you owe in taxes" and "sellers must report the sale to the IRS or you won't get your credit", and another whole page more of qualifications. Dealers are shady scumbags so beware.
