I’m looking at a 2006 Toyota 4Runner SR5 2WD V6 with 240k miles. Guys asking $4,000. Should I buy it? It’ll be my first car.

Great SUVs but pay less make sure to have a mechanic check the vehicle out to make sure its in good shape.
It is worth less because it only has 2wd, is 15 years old, and has 240k on it. You will probably get only like 60k miles more before big problems will occur. You should ask for a better price and know the condition of the car. Get a mechanic just because a car with that mileage might have some hidden problems.

Not bad. They're great vehicles. I might try to pay a bit less because of the mileage though.

great cars, but too much money for the age and mileage. Go down in price, maybe $3000 would be a fair price for that one. It has the v6, which means it has less maintnence to be needed than the v8. Maybe get a live data scan tool and plug it into the car to see if it is in good shape.
