Car has 97k miles it's clean and it does have a check engine light I haven't checked it out but wondering what are some common problems

Yes, Just one simple thing: Do not buy it.
They have horrendous automatic transmissions.
And often been driven pretty hard...

Yes. Don't buy it unless if it's a stick.
