Hey all, so this winter I plan on doing a good bit of suspension work to my 2000 Camaro, 107k miles. I already purchased a bushing kit that includes all bushings on control arms, sway bar, etc. I'm going to get coilovers too, just waiting to see if there will be any black Friday deals at the end of the month on the product I want. Ive mentioned this idea before about a year ago, heres the old topic: https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/qa/suspension-upgrade-question/
So my question is, should I replace my ball joints too while I have the control arms off the car? They're okay right now, there's no play in the wheels when I raise the car up, but after doing some research it seems like a good idea since theyre 23 years old, have over 100k miles and Ill already be there. If I should do ball joints, should I stick with OEM, or get ones that can withstand more abuse & hard driving?
Thank you for your time,
-Nick
Yes.
Yes just get the control arms with bushings and balljoints preinstalled
Theres a reputable shop around me, I heard that they'll install the bushings for free if I have them align the car for me when I'm done. Pressing these things in must be annoying because youre not the first person to say this
