Should I resurface or replace front rotors with 55,000 miles, for a 2016 Mazda 6 (Trim-Touring)?

I just purchased a 2016 Mazda 6 with 55,000 miles and want to know if I need to change the front rotors. The front brake pads are down to 4MM and I plan on changing them immediately. Should I change the rotors as well OR should I have them resurfaced? It appears the front rotors are the OEM rotors from factory production. I've always been told that each time I change the front brake pads that I should also change the rotors, too. Not sure changing the rotors out is necessary so I wanted to ask.   Thanks. Mike

No, that's nonsense. Only change them if they give you trouble, or they're wearing too thin.

Thank you for the advice.
