I’m wondering if I should get a 2015 Chevy suburban with 150,000 miles. I think it’s in decent shape. Should I take it?
I wouldn't.
That is a high mileage GM vehicle coupled with a V8 engine (5.3L/6.2L Ecotec3) that has cylinder deactivation (what GM calls AFM) which can wear out/damage an engine over time and who knows what state of wear that engine is in now at 150,000 miles coupled with a plethora of electronics that GM is not known for - that is not a good buy since you will most likely have to sink money into repairs. It’s reached that point. Also, you have to realize GM has been on a downhill over a while now in terms of quality. I wouldn’t even recommend buying it if the mileage was 100,000 miles LESS.
Depends on the price. That was after GM went downhill so I wouldn't pay too much for it.
