Should I take this problem to the dealer for warranty repair?

In March, I purchased a brand new 2020 Toyota Yaris Hatchback LE from my local Toyota dealer. I really liked the Subcompact design, and figured it'd be a great car for the commute I have to and from work (around 60 miles round trip/day). One thing I've noticed since day one of owning the vehicle though, is that from time to time when you go to take off, it hangs for a little bit before accelerating to the expected speed. I didn't know if this was common in subcompact cars, or if this sounds like an issue I might need to have my dealer look into fixing under warranty. Thanks for any input.

In my opinion there is no downside to taking it in. Customer feedback is especially important for brand new vehicles because dealers actually care what you think. Even if it's not a mechanical issue it's a good opportunity to share your experience and tell them what you think. It should be free regardless if it's under warranty.

Did you not test drive it? It is not a Corvette.

I would film the issue first and then ask the dealer to test drive a new one to see if the new one does the same.
if not, show them the video and ask for repair. It should be under warranty.
