Sienna 2008 here. When its very hot, I have to turn on both front and rear a/c on the lowest temp, fans full blowing to get it to give cool air. It usually takes 5-10 min. However, question is, why does front not give much cool air after turning off the rear? It seems having the rear on helps the front give cool air??

That often happens as they age they both use the same compressor so it has nothing to do with that if you want to fix it it's kind of a pain in the ass you would have to remove the evaporator inside the dash in the front and replace the expansion valve and it's a rather expensive job I would just run the rear in the front all the time
