I have a 2015 Kia Soul Base 1.6L with 146k miles that is blowing a foggy mist out of the air vents when I turn it off. Anything other than Max AC. The AC compressor turns on just fine and it blows cold, but as soon as I turn it off of Max AC, fog begins rolling out of the vents and condensation forms on the dash, windshield, and water begins leaking out of the air vents and soaks the entire interior. The mist is odorless, but the constant humidity in the car from the water leaking out of the vents has caused a mildewy smell. When the air is turned on, you can hear the sound of what can only be described as boiling water coming from inside the dash and when you have the air off and weave the car back and forth you can hear water slashing around somewhere inside the vehicle. My wife drives the car everyday and the fogging issue has gotten so bad that condensation forms on the inside of the windshield and the outside now that the weather is beginning to get colder. The internet as always is very little help in narrowing down exactly what's wrong with it. Does anybody have any idea what it could possibly be and how difficult it's going to be to fix it myself?
Your ac evaporator drain is probably backed up with condensation. Clear it out
@imperator any idea where it might be?
@jhinkle3 It will most likely be under the car near the HVAC box. A repair manual may help. The one we have easy access to at charm.li only goes to 2013 for the Soul but the 2015 model should be similar:

just follow the bright shiny AC lines.
