2015 Kia Sedona System Check

Hello.  I have a 2015 Kia Sedona that does a safety check while driving down the road. It can be going 20mph or 70mph. No difference. Happens about twice a month. While running the check, pushing the gas does nothing. It just coasts. Takes about 2 seconds and that drives like nothing happened. Had it to Kia and several hundred dollars later they could not tell me anything. Please help!!   Not sure if it helps but the BSD not working notification comes on almost every time driving. Once it comes on it will not shut off until the vehicle is turned off.

I would sell the car. No joke.

@imperator It wants him to wash off the rear bumper and like it.

@Hixster you mean the sensors are dirty? It very well could be. I've never owned one of these systems, but if it keeps the car from driving then I never want one.

@imperator 2 things stopping me from trading it in.

1. It would be cheaper for me to "fix", if I knew the issue, than buying another vehicle.

2. A brand new engine was put in it 1 year ago from an extended warranty for free. Cosmetticaly and frame wise it's in great shape. I was hoping to drive it until the wheels fell off.

I don't think it is

Fixing this issue will cost more than the value of this car, and it would be "throwing good money after bad"

Buying another vehicle would be money well spent.

What good are the intact wheels if they won't turn.

This is something I hear over and over and over from Kia owners.

The issue you're having now is just the tip of the iceberg.

They are rolling piles of crap, and the stealerships are scumbags. Get rid of it before it becomes a bigger nightmare, and never buy a Korean car again.

@imperator trust me I hate kia. I'm a toyota guy through and through. But I can only afford what I can afford. I try to be smart with my money. That's why this decision is so hard

According to Google it can be as simple as a weak battery, loose terminals or dirty sensors. Also, incorrect pressure can trigger system warnings.

*tire pressure

@boot He really should start simple like this..
