I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee (AD1) that will sometimes rev up very high without accelerating or producing any power. I have to take my foot of the pedal and sometimes press on the brakes to be able to move again. There are no codes, and two mechanics have looked at it and haven't found any issues with the transmission or with the car (transmission fluid is fine according to them too). It has around 58,000 miles.

You might check to see if there's a software upgrade for the transmission. Could also be an intermittently bad shift solenoid.
